9:00 am to 3:30 pm (last tour) or 4:30 pm (last tour in july and august).
Duration of the tours: approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes. you should around 3 - 4 hours into account for the visit.
Equipment for the trip
Solid shoes and warm clothing are required to visit the Eisriesenwelt, since the temperature is usually below freezing - even in the summer!
Cave lamps are handed to the visitors at the entrance. Your cave guide will also use magnesium lamps to spotlight the impressive ice sculptures.
The ice cave is under a preservation order and may only be entered with authorized guides.
Physical exertion
About 134 altitude meters have to be traversed during a tour of the ice cave. This roughly corresponds to hiking up the stairway of a large high-rise. Each visitor is responsible for determining whether he or she is capable of this exertion.
